As I pass another milestone within my pregnancy journey, I am holding onto the notion that you can still showcase your own personal style, whilst your bump continues to grow. I believe that if you can create a perfectly edited wardrobe of maternity fashion essentials, then you are half way to staying true to yourself.
Today I wanted to introduce you to a US Maternity brand Pink Blush, a collection of trendy and stylish clothes for the modern woman. Pink Blush is a brand that resonates with my own personal style, because of the perfect cut and shape, which are at the forefront of the brands aesthetic. The high street tends to focus on the basic, whilst this collection imagins that us pregnant woman want to still look chic and on-trend.
I am honoured to be a Style Ambassador for the brand and today I wanted to share with you my must-have shape buys and favourite picks from the collection. I was incredibly lucky to be able to select an item as a gift, from their collection, as part of the collaboration and I was instantly drawn to the Heather Ruffle Front Top. It’s supersoft, beautifully cut to showcase a little cleavage and fits smoothly against my bump. It fits true to size and I have adequate room for it to take me through all my trimesters. Best of all, I can also wear this post-baby and to breastfeed.
Bump Enhancing Party Dresses
Party season is imminent. Therefore it seems fitting to start with the maternity fitted dress, a rare party wear style that evokes versatility and ease. Ease in the fact that you can finally leave your control wear at home and versatile in its simplicity of shape. The key to a bump enhancing dress is to ensure its fitted to perfection around your bump, the length is perfect for you and lastly, don’t underestimate a good maternity bra.
Every jean you wear should feel effortless yet comfortable. The under bump (or over bump style), depending upon your preference will become like an old friend. It’s the style you turn to day after day to uplift not only your bump but your spirits as you do battle with your ever-changing body. Therefore invest time and money in finding your perfect shape, just like you do with your friendships.
During your pregnancy have a signature item, such as the knitted dress, as this is a great everyday essential. This is your throw on the piece for the days you are blooming or the days when you need to take the guesswork out of what to wear. It should feel effortless and comfortable, even when you are waddling along. For me I love to wear mine in the coldder months with tights and boots, however I love how the off the shoulders styles below translate to evening or a special occasion.
Not so Basic Tee
The not so basic top is such an incredibly simple and easy shape and it’s a starting point for creating an outfit around. It’s also an inexpensive way of dressing your bump and allows you to spend (without guilt) on seasonal colours that will see you throughout your pregnancy. The beauty of the below styles lies in the ability to show a little skin, whether its a ruffle front detail or taking the moment to show off your shoulders (which I love because mine don’t gain weight during pregnancy, bonus).
Pink Blush Maternity is an international US site, therefore please be aware of shipping costs and T&Cs. For my ruffle top worn above, this fits true to size, if you are worried about what size to order.
